Father's Day Lunch

As you all know, today is Father's Day!!! This is our first Father's Day away from our Grandparents, but we tried to make the best of it. Mom gave Dad his present this morning at breakfast, Polo Black cologne. Lindsay, Emily, and I decided to wait until lunch to give Dad our present. Where better to go for lunch on Father's Day than Dad's favorite, Penn Station?

Here is the man of the day! In the High Point,NC Penn Station there are HUGE pictures of all the sandwiches decorating the restaurant. Dad is standing in front of the Chicken Cordon Bleu (Lindsay's fave). Wait a second, where did his hair go?? Did the sheer excitement of going to Penn Station cause it all to fall out? [Actually he challenged the kids at VBS to raise $500 and he'd shave his head, $600 and he'd shave his goatee. They made $800!]

The girls and I in front of my personal fave, the Club!!

Yeah, dad finally opened his present! We gave him the newly-released J.R.R.Tolkien book, The Children of Hurin. [I realize that Tolkien is no longer alive, his son edited his last work and published it for him. ]

Dad's up to his usual tricks, putting a cup on his head! The cup rests much better now that he's bald. For those of you wondering, no one drank out of that cup! We had a wonderful Father's Day and hope you did too!

You know, Dana always said she didn't like your hair short because your head was, well, to put it nicely, not so good looking with short hair (she said it man, not me). But if I had a noggin that looked that good, I would stay bald.
